A New Journey Is Coming to Roadstand Hollow: Book 4
Something has changed beyond the Clock Tower.
For three books, readers have wandered the familiar streets of Roadstand Hollow. They have visited the Wishkeeper's Corner, followed roads that remember, encountered wishes that sometimes have ideas of their own, and discovered that the Hollow rarely gives travelers exactly what they expect. Now the road continues.
The Lantern Market, Book 4 of Tales of Roadstand Hollow, begins the next series of stories (Series 2: The Lantern Market Chronicles) and carries the journey beyond some of the Hollow's familiar boundaries.
It begins quietly. An unfamiliar lantern appears outside the Wishkeeper's Corner. No one remembers hanging it there. Some residents are certain they have seen it before. Others are equally certain they have not. Then old lanterns begin glowing, whispers are heard after sunset, and Elias notices something waiting beyond the Clock Tower. A road. Not exactly a new road. Perhaps a road that has simply remembered where it goes.
Beyond the Clock Tower
Following that road leads Elias toward a place few residents discuss and fewer seem able to explain. The Lantern Market. After sunset, thousands of lanterns glow above merchants, travelers, musicians, unusual stalls, and things that cannot always be bought with ordinary money.
Because money isn't necessarily the most valuable currency in the Lantern Market. Patience, Courage, Forgiveness, Humility, Trust, Gratitude, and Hope. Those may purchase things coins never could. And Elias soon discovers that some wishes carry prices nobody expects.
The Hollow Is Growing
The Lantern Market marks an important point in the larger Roadstand Hollow story. The first three books introduced the village, its residents, its unusual places, and the quiet magic woven through everyday life.
Book 4 begins to open the world beyond them. There are forgotten roads. Travelers who know more than they explain. Old bargains. Promises that have waited years to be remembered. And lanterns left burning for people who have not yet arrived.
Yet the heart of Roadstand Hollow remains unchanged. These are still stories about people. About kindness. About friendship and belonging. About second chances. And about the small things one person does for another without ever knowing how far that kindness might travel.
Series 2 Begins
The Lantern Market is Book 4 of Tales of Roadstand Hollow and the beginning of the second three-book journey. Books 5 and 6 will carry readers deeper into the mysteries introduced here, as the Lantern Market and the world surrounding Roadstand Hollow continue to unfold.
For now, however, one lantern has appeared. One forgotten road is waiting. And somewhere beyond the Clock Tower, thousands of lights are beginning to glow. Perhaps the Hollow isn't asking us to leave. Perhaps it is simply showing us there is more to discover.
