Thank you for visiting and for spending a little time in a place that means a great deal to me. Whether this is your first visit or you have simply wandered back again, I hope you find something here that feels familiar, comforting, and worth remembering.

The Wishkeeper's Corner is the first book in the series - Tales of Roadstand Hollow, and in many ways, it is the heart of everything that follows. Every road, every mystery, every friendship, and every quiet wonder that appears throughout the series begins here.

This first story introduces Roadstand Hollow, a town where wishes are remembered, forgotten things sometimes find their way home, and ordinary people discover that life still holds unexpected kindness. The characters, places, traditions, and mysteries that grow throughout the series all have their roots in these pages.

Because of that, this book remains the most important book in the entire series. It is where the journey begins. It is where the Hollow first opens its doors.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you enjoy your visit to Roadstand Hollow, and perhaps, like so many who find themselves there, you may discover that some roads have been quietly waiting for you all along.

Why is Book One the most important?

Not because it is necessarily the biggest adventure or the deepest mystery, but because every one of the remaining seventeen books grows from seeds planted here.

Readers can enjoy later stories, but Book One teaches them what Roadstand Hollow feels like. It introduces the town's soul. In a series built around belonging, memories, and returning home, that first welcome matters more than anything else.

As Miriam Vale might say, "Some journeys begin with a map. Others begin when someone opens the door and simply says, 'Welcome.'"

"Not every shelf holds objects. Some hold unfinished stories."

Part One's Chapters 1-5 Mini Descriptions                   Part Two's Chapters 6-10 Mini Descriptions

Chapter 1 — The Bell Above the Door

Elias Mercer never expected a rainy afternoon and an unfamiliar road to change his life. Drawn into a small shop by nothing more than curiosity, he meets the remarkable Miriam Vale and hears the gentle ring of a brass bell that seems to announce far more than another customer.

What begins as a simple stop soon becomes the first step into a place unlike anywhere he has ever known.

Chapter 2 — Wishes for Other People

Inside The Wishkeeper's Corner, Elias discovers that wishes are unlike anything he imagined. Wishes cannot be made for oneself, and the strange rules governing the shop challenge everything he thinks he understands about happiness and hope.

For the first time in many years, he begins seeing kindness through different eyes.

Chapter 3 — The Woman Who Wanted Her Brother to Laugh Again

A tired woman enters carrying a wish shaped by grief rather than selfishness. Through her quiet request, Elias witnesses the true purpose behind Miriam Vale's unusual work.

Sometimes the deepest wishes are made not for ourselves, but for the people we love most.

Chapter 4 — The Streets That Feel Remembered

As Elias wanders Roadstand Hollow, ordinary streets begin stirring extraordinary feelings. Familiar music, welcoming storefronts, and moments impossible to explain leave him wondering whether some places remember people before people remember themselves.

The town itself seems to know more than it reveals.

Chapter 5 — Lanterns in the Rain

Beneath glowing lanterns and gentle rain, Elias experiences the peaceful rhythm of Roadstand Hollow after dark. The reflections dancing across wet streets carry a feeling of belonging he thought he had left behind long ago.

And somewhere in the quiet evening, the Hollow seems to smile.

Chapter 6 — The Wish Written in Blue Ink

An unusual entry written in blue ink introduces Elias to one of the Hollow's oldest mysteries. Some stories, Miriam explains, refuse to disappear simply because time has passed.

Certain wishes wait patiently to be remembered.

Chapter 7 — The Baker Who Forgot His Own Recipe

When one of the town's most beloved bakers begins losing something precious, the people around him quietly rally together. Elias learns that memories are sometimes carried by others when we no longer recognize them ourselves.

And kindness often arrives disguised as ordinary friendship.

Chapter 8 — The Conversation That Already Happened

A strange encounter leaves Elias with the unsettling feeling that he has somehow lived the moment before. Familiar words and impossible memories blur the line between coincidence and something much deeper.

Roadstand Hollow rarely explains itself quickly.

Chapter 9 — The Shelf No Customer Sees

Behind a curtain few people even notice lies a place unlike anything Elias has ever encountered. Objects filled with meaning and stories quietly wait among shelves hidden from ordinary eyes.

Some things are only seen when people are ready.

Chapter 10 — The Traveler With No Map

A mysterious stranger arrives carrying more questions than answers. Through unexpected conversations, Elias discovers that not every journey follows roads found on paper.

Some paths are measured by longing instead of miles.

PART THREE — THE THINGS THE TOWN REMEMBERS

"Some towns remember people long after people forget themselves."

Section Description

As life in Roadstand Hollow settles into familiar rhythms, Elias begins discovering that the town itself carries memories. Music drifts from empty streets, unfinished stories find their voices again, and wishes thought forgotten refuse to disappear. The deeper mysteries of the Hollow begin revealing themselves, though answers remain wrapped in kindness, tea, and quiet wonder.

PART FOUR — THE HOLLOW AT DUSK

"As evening settles over the Hollow, old wishes begin finding their way home."

Section Description

As autumn deepens and the Festival of Returning Lanterns approaches, emotions long hidden begin surfacing throughout the town. Memories, coincidences, and impossible feelings draw Elias closer to understanding his place within Roadstand Hollow. Yet the greatest mysteries still wait quietly beyond the lantern light.

Part Three's  Chapters 11- 15 Mini  Descriptions           Part Four's Chapters 16 - 20 Mine Descriptions

Chapter 11 — The Sound of Music From Empty Streets

Late one evening, melodies drift through streets where no musicians can be found. The sounds awaken emotions Elias cannot fully explain, stirring memories that seem both distant and strangely familiar.

In Roadstand Hollow, even silence occasionally remembers songs people have forgotten.

Chapter 12 — Tea Steam and Unfinished Stories

Conversations shared over warm tea reveal that nearly everyone in the Hollow carries stories left incomplete. Friendships, regrets, and hopes linger like steam rising from cups on rainy afternoons.

Elias begins understanding that unfinished things are not always broken—they are sometimes simply waiting.

Chapter 13 — The Wish That Refused to Leave

One particular wish continues appearing where it should not. Despite every explanation, the mysterious request seems determined to remain part of the shop and part of the town itself.

Some hopes are too important to disappear quietly.

Chapter 14 — The Roads That Became Shorter Returning Home

As Elias spends more time among the people of the Hollow, familiar roads begin feeling different. Distances seem smaller, journeys seem easier, and the meaning of home begins changing in ways he never expected.

Some places have a way of making people wonder why they ever stayed away so long.

Chapter 15 — The Shopkeeper's Almost-Answer

Miriam finally reveals pieces of truths she has guarded for many years. Yet as always, her explanations raise as many questions as they answer.

Roadstand Hollow prefers understanding that grows slowly rather than answers handed over too quickly.

Chapter 16 — The Man Who Was Certain He'd Been There Before

A visitor arrives carrying an overwhelming certainty that he has already walked the streets of Roadstand Hollow. His experiences mirror feelings Elias has tried hard to explain away.

Perhaps memory works differently in places that refuse to be ordinary.

Chapter 17 — The Festival of Returning Lanterns

The Hollow gathers beneath glowing lanterns and quiet traditions passed down through generations. Wishes, names, memories, and hopes illuminate the evening in ways both beautiful and deeply personal.

For many, lantern light carries things words never quite manage to express.

Chapter 18 — Wishes Meant for Strangers

Unexpected acts of kindness ripple through the town as wishes written for people unknown begin touching lives in surprising ways. Elias discovers that compassion often travels farther than anyone realizes.

Sometimes strangers become part of our stories long before we know their names.

Chapter 19 — The Corner Where Roads Pause

A quiet corner of the town reveals itself to Elias with growing significance. There, between familiar streets and forgotten memories, he senses something waiting patiently for him to understand.

Not every crossroads exists to separate journeys. Some exist to bring them together.

Chapter 20 — The Wish That Found Its Own Way

One remarkable wish begins unfolding in ways nobody expected. As events quietly align, Elias witnesses something beautiful, mysterious, and impossible to dismiss.  And for the first time, he wonders whether Roadstand Hollow has been guiding him all along.

PART FIVE — THE ROAD THAT WAITS

"Some roads never stop waiting for the people they were meant to bring home."

Section Description

As autumn gives way to quieter days, Elias finds himself standing at a crossroads he never expected. Questions remain unanswered, but something far deeper has begun changing inside him. The people, streets, and mysteries of Roadstand Hollow have become more than passing experiences—they have become part of his story.

Some journeys end.

Others simply become home.

Chapter 21 — The Goodbye That Felt Familiar

As the thought of leaving begins creeping into his mind, Elias discovers that goodbyes carry different meanings in Roadstand Hollow. Familiar faces, simple conversations, and quiet moments remind him that leaving a place is not always the same as leaving it behind.

Sometimes the hardest thing to understand is why something already feels worth missing.

Chapter 22 — The Road That Waits

Standing between the life he once knew and the life unfolding before him, Elias faces a truth he never expected to find. Certain roads do not demand answers. They simply remain where they have always been, patiently waiting until people are ready to choose them.  And somewhere beyond the lanterns and the rain, Roadstand Hollow continues keeping a light on.

PART SIX EPILOGUE — SOME TOWNS REMEMBER YOU

"Even after people leave, some towns keep a light burning for them."

Epilogue Description

Life moves forward, seasons change, and travelers eventually continue their journeys. Yet Roadstand Hollow does not measure belonging by distance or time. It remembers kindness. It remembers wishes. And somehow, it remembers people.

Book 1  Conclusion

Some Towns Remember You

Not every story ends with answers. Some stories end with understanding.

As life beyond the Hollow slowly resumes, Elias discovers that certain places leave footprints far deeper than memories alone. Though roads may stretch for miles and seasons may quietly pass, the feeling of Roadstand Hollow remains with him in unexpected ways.

Because some towns are not forgotten. Some towns wait. Some towns remember.

And sometimes, when the rain falls softly, and distant music drifts through the evening air, people discover that home was never truly left behind.

After all…there are still shelves waiting to be discovered. And somewhere inside The Wishkeeper's Corner, blue ink is beginning to appear once again
